Choosing the right pot.
Published
Consider shape, finish and drainage alongside the needs of the plant.
Begin with the fit
Check the plant and pot dimensions. Avoid choosing a much larger pot simply because there is more room on a shelf.
Find a finish
Stone, terracotta and other finishes change how a grouping feels. Use a few related textures for a calm, cohesive space.
Think about care
Check drainage, the weight of the planted pot and how easily you can move it for watering. Protect the surface beneath it.
